Historic First Christian Church of Augusta, GA
Faithfully serving the Augusta community since 1835.
The First Christian Church in Augusta, GA is a Disciples of Christ congregation formed in 1835. The current church building was constructed in 1875 on the corner of Seventh and Greene streets in downtown Augusta, funded by local philanthropist and benefactor Emily Tubman. The building is a mixture of Romanesque revival and Gothic revival architecture and includes a 168-foot-tall steeple.
